On Location Saturday

Friday, April 18th, 2008

Hi all,

Just a quick note to say that tomorrow I am going to be shooting on location at a corporate volleyball tournament. It will be the first time that I’ll be able to use my new Mark III in anger and I’m looking forward to it!

Quick list of gear I’m taking:

  1. Canon 1-D Mark III
  2. Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM
  3. Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM
  4. Canon Speedlite 580EX II
  5. Gitzo GM2941 Basalt Monopod

Not sure how this set-up will work, but I will post back to let you all know what worked and what didn’t; along with a few pictures.

Oh, and I am about 70% through processing my NY pics, so look back soon!

Sneak peek from NY trip

Monday, April 7th, 2008

Hi all,

Well as expected, work has been crazy busy since I got back from New York. I have a lot of pictures to go through and process, but I will get to them eventually. As a teaser, here is a picture I took of the new Star Wars Series ad that is all over Manhattan. Enjoy!

Differences between Americans and the British

Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008

I read an excellent article from the Economist today outlining the differences in Americans and the British. Having working in the States (and lived in Canada for many years) I tend to agree with the article.

I have heard many times that whilst Britain and America (and Canada for that matter) are English, they speak different languages.

On a die note, I just got back from NY and have some new kit! Yeah!
